M&M launches entry-level Scorpio model

Auto maker Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday launched the entry-level variant of its sports utility vehicle Scorpio, priced at Rs 7.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Auto maker Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday launched the entry-level variant of its sports utility vehicle Scorpio, priced at Rs 7.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new variant, Scorpio Ex, will be powered by a 2.5 litre diesel engine, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said in a statement.

"An unmitigated success in the SUV segment since its launch, the Scorpio has kept up its momentum with constant up-gradations and new offerings.

"I am sure that the Scorpio Ex will be an instant hit with young customers looking for an affordable entry point into the Scorpio franchise," M&M Senior Vice President (Marketing, Automotive Division) Vivek Nayer said.

As per ARAI standards, the vehicle will give a mileage of 14 km per litre, the company claimed.
