The senior V-P and group head, human resources, Infosys, feels she is still learning
Manu Kaushik August 30, 2011Nandita Gurjar, 50, Senior Vice President and Group Head, Human Resources, Infosys, has a great deal on her plate. She has to manage the expectations of 1.3 lakh employees and build the Infy brand globally.
Gurjar says she is amazed by how much she is still learning every day. Different people perceive company policies differently, she says, and some of the responses can be surprising.
She cites an example. "We have this policy for women to work from home if they have children below the age of three," says Gurjar. "A woman employee recently said it was discriminatory and that the facility should be extended to men, too. We are going to do it soon."
