Montek at Google Hangout: Difficult to put a yearly report card
BT Online Bureau March 15, 2013Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, and Sam Pitroda, Chairman of National Innovation Council, and other members of the Planning Commission interacted with the public on Google Hangout on Friday.
The interaction was aimed at communicating the objectives of the 12th Five Year Plan (2012-17) through the social media platform so as to increase public participation and engagement in growth and welfare issues.
Answering a question from Biocon chief Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Montek Singh Ahluwalia said it is difficult for the commission to prepare a yearly report card on the progress of the five-year plans as the data is not available.
