Apart from the Lumia 830 and Lumia 730 , Microsoft surprisingly launched the Lumia 930 in India for Rs 38,649. It will be available in India from October 15 onwards. The phone was originally unveiled at BUILD in April and its launch has been grossly delayed in India as it was specified earlier that the phone was coming to India in June 2014.
By every metric, the Lumia 930 is Microsoft's flagship smartphone. It has a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and is coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage, but there is no memory card slot.
Design wise too, the phone blends and metallic construction with a plastic back offering a premium design. That said, the phone is not the slimmest one out there. It measures 9.8mm and weighs 167 grams.
The phone has a 1080P 5-inch IPS display, making it the most pixel dense Windows Phone in the world.
It has the same 20-megapixel PureView camera with optical image stabilisation,, which was earlier seen on the Lumia 1520. This means it boasts fantastic photography capabilities. It has the oversampling technology seen earlier in the Lumia 1020. On the front, it has a 1.2-megapixel camera.
For video, the phone supports Nokia Rich Recording and has a suite of microphones for great audio quality.
On the back it has a 2,420mAh battery and the phone supports Qi-Wireless charging.
Like the Lumia 830 and the 730, it runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with the Nokia Denim update. The phone also has 1TB of free OneDrive storage for 6 months.
