Rs 45 Airtel plan gives access to talk time plans: Here is everything you need to know

The telecom giants Airtel and Vodafone have come up with many new plans ever since the traffic revision in December 2019. They have increased the prices of some as well as reduced the prices of many tariff plans and provided added benefits like the free subscription to the streaming apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
Airtel now has six talk time plans for its prepaid users such as Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 100, Rs 500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000. However, recharging with above-mentioned prices alone won't serve the purpose as the user will be forced to make a recharge of Rs 45 to activate all the above-mentioned plans.
For example, if you have recharged your phone with Rs 1000 talk time plan you will still have to recharge your phone with Rs 45 to be able to use the plan you have recharged your phone with. However, the good thing about these talk time plans is that they come with unlimited validity so you can use the balance at any time.
The Vodafone came up with the service validity benefits for talk time plans in 2019 but Airtel doesn't seem to be thinking on those lines anytime soon. For the unversed, service validity is a key for users as it allows them to make use of the existing talk time balance in their account. Whereas, in the absence of service validity benefit, users will face suspension of incoming voice calling facility after 15 days of their pack's expiry.
The Rs 45 recharge plan does not merge with any talk time plans it offers rate cutter and service validity for 28 days. So in every 28 days, an Airtel user is required to make a recharge of Rs 45 to use the talk time balance in their account.
Earlier, Airtel came up with two prepaid plans that also offers life insurance cover up to Rs 4 Lakh. The Rs 179 plan comes with Rs 2 Lakh life insurance plan by Bharti Axa Life It has a validity of 28 days and offers 2GB data -- for the entire duration -- and unlimited calls to any network within India. It also comes with the benefit of 300 SMSs per day. While the Rs 279 recharge plan is coupled with a life insurance cover of Rs 4 lakh by HDFC Life insurance. It comes with the validity of 28 days, unlimited calling to all networks and 1.5 GB data and 100 SMSes per day.
