The two variants will be available in Nature Green, Sea Blue, and Midnight Black colour options. As for those interested in purchasing it, you can buy the Redmi 9A via Amazon and Mi.com.

Redmi 9A: Why it's worth a buy

-- There's a lot to like about the Redmi 9A, with one of the biggest reasons for purchase its big 6.53-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) display with a water-drop notch and 20:9 aspect ratio.

-- Powering the phone is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC which has been paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The smartphone also comes running MIUI 12, based on Android 10 out-of-the-box. This provides it with enough power to take on basic tasks and even some heavy gaming on medium-low graphics setting.

-- The phone also gets decent cameras for the price, with the Redmi 9A coming with a single 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 lens. While this may not sound too interesting on paper, it is still quite interesting for the price. At the front, there's a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.2 lens. This lens again promises impressive quality while shooting selfies and videos.

--The Redmi 9A also brings with itself a big battery, as the device packs within its frame a massive 5,000mAh pack with 10W fast charging support. This paired with the device's power-efficient chipset gives it good battery life.

-- Apart from this, the Redmi 9A also comes with P2i coating and reinforced corners for added physical security. There's a 3.5mm jack on the phone for connecting a headphone with the device.
