OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 Edition images leak online, not likely to run Google's Wear OS

Despite all the disruptions to the manufacturing and supply chain, 2020 has seen OnePlus launch more devices in a year than ever before. From high-end flagships to mid-range smartphones under its Nord line-up of smartphones, there's been a lot this year to process from the house of OnePlus.
While the year is about to come to a close and OnePlus is unlikely to make new additions to its portfolio, a new report now suggests that the company will make these additions next year. And one of these products will be the new OnePlus Watch which appears to be shaping up in ways that had not been imagined before.
According to the trusted tipster, Max Jambor, the OnePlus Watch will not be based on Google's Wear OS or for that matter run a modified or skinned version of the operating system for smart wearables. Speaking to 9to5Google, he hinted that the company could build its own platform from the ground up for its upcoming smartwatch.
But that's not all the information coming in about the OnePlus Watch. Another report suggests that the OnePlus Watch might come in a special Cyberpunk 2077 edition. This information coming courtesy of a Weibo post shares an image of what appears to be a watchband bearing OnePlus and Cyberpunk 2077 branding. Since the OnePlus has already seen itself a partner with Cyberpunk 2077 for the OnePlus 8T, it won't be a surprise if it manages to strike up something like this for the OnePlus Watch also.
In the past, we've heard interesting things about the OnePlus Watch, with previous reports suggesting that the new device would borrow its design from the Vivo Watch which was launched in China earlier in September. Apart from this, little else is known about the device, including details about its internals, but there are suggestions that the new OnePlus Watch could come with a Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC which would represent a major upgrade on the Snapdragon 2100 or 3100 in terms of performance and efficiency.
