Honor is widely tipped to launch new flagship phones -- the V40 series -- in January next year. Over the last few weeks, we have seen a few leaks about the devices, and now a fresh report has taken the lid off the launch date and some of its specifications.
Coming courtesy of a user on Weibo, the new reports claims that the V40 series will launch on January 12 in China. Additionally, the tipster also claims that the standard V40 will come with a 120Hz refresh rate display.
The new report reveals a leaked render showed the smartphone sporting a dual hole-punch cutout display with curved edges. Additionally, it also shows that the smartphone will also sport a quad-camera setup inside a circular module which also comes with an LED flash placed between the four sensors inside the module.
The device was recently spotted on the Chinese 3C certification website, where it was shown to also come with 66W fast charging support. But apart from it, there's little we know about the standard V40 series devices at the moment.
As for the Specifications V40 Pro, and V40 Pro+, these phones are said to come with similar features as seen in the Mate 40 series. Recently, tipster Rodent950 revealed in a leak that the V40 series will feature a 6.72-inch Full HD+ curved display. He also revealed that the screen will have a pill-shaped camera cutout for dual front cameras.
The Honor V40 Pro is tipped to come with the latest Kirin 9000 chipset. The Honor V40 Pro+ on the other hand gets a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset. At the back, the V40 Pro is said to get a triple-camera setup, while the V40 Pro+ could come with a quad-camera array. Reports suggest the V40 series could feature a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor.
Apart from this, there isn't much known about the devices. However, considering we are looking at a January 12 launch for them, the wait for more details may not be too long as we should start getting more detailed leaks in the days to come.
