This dazzling watch boasts a complex tourbillon technology where precision providing components are assembled in a titanium cage that rotates every 60 seconds. This offsets a gravitational effect. The hands are made of gold metalised onto sapphire crystal disks and are propelled by gearing at the peripheries of the disk. Each tourbillon, assembled from 320 parts, is the work of one watchmaker who spends up to 540 hours on it. This means that no two Skeleton Central Tourbillon watches are exactly alike. This chronograph with two time zones unites a sporty feel with technical prowess for a resolutely extreme design. The open worked dial allows one to admire a clear view of the movement's- a newly developed Calibre 781- structure through the sapphire crystal. All components of the escapement and the hairspring are made of silicium, a material the watchmakers favour due to its lightness, sturdiness and anti-magnetic properties. All this is housed within a rugged watch case with an external chassis made of titanium alloy and high tech zirconium ceramic bezel. Price: Rs. 30 lakh


This watch has the highly technical Calibre 9451 MC movement, which is entirely created in-house by Cartier's watchmakers. Taking over five years to create and christened the Astrotourbillon movement, it incorporates a tourbillon carriage containing the various organs of the escapement and sprung balance. It is manually wound with 48 hours of power reserve. Platinum is used as a counterweight to balance the tourbillon. The complication needs space, so the case is thicker than usual and 47 mm wide. It comes in 18 caratt white or pink gold. Price: On request

Combining the concept of a watch and a calendar into a unique timekeeping instrument, this Saxonia Annual Calendar uses mechanical ingenuity to establish a new benchmark in design and technology. The watch has an exceptionally precise moon-phase display as well as the famous self-winding SAX-0-MAT calibre with its patented, zero-reset handsetting mechanism. This function stops the movement when the crown is pulled and instantly advances the seconds hand to 12 o'clock so that the watch can be easily and comfortably synchronized with an official time signal. Capable of handling calendar irregularities up to the year 2100, this watch has a mechanical self-winding movement. the two retrograde displays, it has a dual time zone and a day/night indicator indexed to the central hour. This open-worked sapphire dial possesses a main PVD main plate and a 30 second tourbillon. Its movement, a Calibre PF 511, inspired by the Tourbillon Calibre 500 type movement, is produced in its entirety in Parmigiani Fleurier's own workshops. Its dial is enhanced by rhodium plated applied indexes and brightly coated delta shaped hands. The palladium version features a bezel set with 60 baguette cut diamonds. Price: Rs. 1.21 crore
