Airtel offers Google Nest Mini at1,699 but there's a catch

Airtel is offering Google Nest Mini for as low as Rs 1699 but the offer is not for everyone. The Rs 4499 device is only available for Airtel Thanks customers at a discounted price of Rs 1699. The Airtel Thanks is a reward programme by the company which can solely be accessed by the Airtel Infinity postpaid customers.

The Airtel Xstream Box can be purchased at Rs 2249 and to give special benefits for the users, the company is running the Google Nest Mini promotion. The buyers of the Airtel Xstream Box are also entitled to free one-year access to Xstream app and zee 5. The offer is only available for buyers who have recharged the set-top box on or before January 8 and it will be available till the January 30. Airtel will message the coupon codes to the customers through which they will be available to buy the Google Nest Mini at the discounted price of Rs 1699. Apparently, the codes will be only valid till February so if you want to bring home the next, you should recharge your Xstream as soon as you.

The Airtel Xstream Box was launched at Rs 3999 back in September 2019 along with the stick. It is basically a smart set-top box that runs Android 9.0 pie and has an in-built Chromecast. The Xstream box comes with support for the Google Play Store that brings you access to 5000 apps. Given that it runs on Android TV OS, It also brings support for universal voice search via Google Assistant.

The box also brings support for streaming content via third party OTT apps such as Netflix, Zee5, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, Xstream app and YouTube.

Google Nest Mini, on the other hand, is a smart speaker with Google Assistant. It was launched in India in September 2019 and is a successor to the Google Home Mini. The tech experts claimed that the sound quality is better in Google Nest Mini. It is available in four colour variants Chalk, Charcoal, Coral, and Sky.
