- Airtel no longer offers free subscription to Zee5 along with its plans.
- Rs 289 is the only plan that comes with Zee5 subscription.
- The Rs 289 prepaid plan provides 1.5GB data per day, unlimited calling to all networks along with 100 SMS per day.
Earlier in May, Airtel announced a partnership with Zee5 and offered a free subscription to the streaming app with all of its prepaid plans, but not anymore. As part of the latest development, Airtel prepaid plans no longer come with a free subscription to Zee5 as the Airtel-Zee5 Summer bonanza has come to an end. However, now if you specifically need a prepaid plan that comes with a free subscription to Zee5, you can recharge your number with Rs 289. The company had earlier included the complimentary subscription with all prepaid plans costing above Rs 149.
Days ago, Airtel announced a new prepaid plan costing Rs 289. The Rs 289 prepaid plan ships with a free subscription to Zee5 Premium. This is currently the only plan that comes with Zee5 subscription. The Rs 289 prepaid plan provides 1.5GB data per day, unlimited calling to all networks along with 100 SMS per day. Apart from this, users will also get a free subscription to Zee5 streaming app and a validity of 28 days.
Not just free subscription to Zee5, the Rs 289 also comes bundled with Airtel Xtream premium subscription. It also has access to Airtel's music app Wynk Music and Rs 150 in your Fastag account.
"With the massive surge in consumption of digital content on smartphones, Airtel's new prepaid packs make it simpler for millions of customers to access rich content from ZEE5 without having to worry about managing separate subscription charges. Our users can enjoy this exclusive content offering on Airtel 4G, which has been consistently rated as India's top mobile network for video by global experts."Shashwat Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer, Bharti Airtel had said about its newest plan.
Airtel also has a Rs 279 prepaid plan which is similar to the Rs 289 in many ways. However, there is one major difference. The Rs 279 also provides 1.5GB data per day, unlimited calling to all networks along with 100 SMS per day. But along with the usual benefits, it also offers a life insurance cover worth Rs 4 Lakhs from HDFC Life insurance. But it doesn't offer any free access to any of the streaming apps be it Zee5 or Amazon Prime. So if you need a life insurance cover at such an inexpensive rate, you can opt for this plan but if you need a free subscription to Zee5, then the Rs 289 would be the perfect fit for you.
