Airtel users can subscribe to annual plans or queue multiple recharges that will save money: Here's how

Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal hinted towards a potential tariff hike that could cost users Rs 100 per GB.

Airtel users may have to pay a lot more in the near future. Chairman Sunil Mittal in an event said that users should be prepared to pay a lot more. With the potential tariff hikes in the near future, many Airtel subscribers are talking about porting or switching SIMs. Other possible solutions that Airtel subscribers can make use of are subscribing to annual plans or queuing their recharges in advance using the multiple recharge facility. Airtel currently offers three annual prepaid plans. These plans come at Rs 1498, Rs 2498 and Rs 2698 with 365 days validity.

Airtel annual plan at Rs 1498: This annual prepaid plan comes with 24GB data for 365 days with unlimited calls and 3600 SMS. It also offers users, 3600 SMS and free subscription to Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, Free Hello Tunes, etc.

Airtel annual plan at Rs 2498: This prepaid plan by Airtel offers 2GB data per day with a 356-day validity. The plan brings with it unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. Additional benefits include free subscription to Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, Free Hello Tunes, etc.

Airtel annual plan at Rs 2698: This annual prepaid plan offers a year of free VIP subscription to Disney+ Hotstar worth Rs 399. This plan also offers 2GB data per day with a 356-day validity. The plan brings with it unlimited calls and 100 per day. Additional benefits include free subscription to Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, Free Hello Tunes, etc.

Last year in November, Airtel introduced its multiple recharge facility for combo plans. The telco allows users to queue or recharge plans in advance so that the next plan automatically activates once the current plan expires. However, only the unlimited combo plans are eligible for this functionality. This facility lets users recharge for upto 3 months in advance so that they don't have to go through the hassle of recharging multiple times.

Airtel prepaid plans with 84 days validity. Airtel offers the following prepaid plans with 84-day validity.

Airtel prepaid plan at Rs 379: This prepaid plan by airtel offers 6GB data for 84 days with 900 SMS. Additional benefits include free subscription to Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, Free Hello Tunes, etc.

Airtel prepaid plan at Rs 598: This plan offers 1.5GB daily data with unlimited calling and 100 SMS. Additional benefits include free subscription to Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, Free Hello Tunes, etc.

Airtel prepaid plan at Rs 698: This plan offers 2GB daily data with unlimited calling and 100 SMS. Additional benefits include free subscription to Airtel XStream, Wynk Music, Free Hello Tunes, etc.
