  • Oppo has launched an 8GB memory variant for the A52.
  • The new 8GB RAM variant of A52 is on sale in Amazon Prime Day.
  • Oppo A52 8GB has other specifications similar to the 6GB RAM one.

Amazon Prime Day sale is underway where you can get thousands of deals on smartphones right now. But while you can get your favourite smartphone for less price under the sale, there are also some new models launching to add some freshness to the existing ones. Oppo has introduced a new memory variant during the Prime Day sale to the A52 smartphone. The one launched previously has 6GB of RAM, so the new 8GB one is clearly for people who want some extra performance and do not want their A52 to lag much.

Oppo A52 8GB RAM variant is, of course, a little pricier than the 6GB version. You will need to pay Rs 18,990 for the 8GB RAM variant whereas the latter costs Rs 16,990. But you can sweeten the deal by using an HDFC credit card to avail up to 10 per cent instant discount of up to Rs 1,000. There are also some offers on EMI transactions that you can check while buying the Oppo A52 on Amazon.

When launching the A52, Oppo said there will be two additional variants, one of which is just out. There is another 4GB RAM variant that is in the pipeline. Oppo has not said anything on when it will launch them. All the memory variants have 128GB onboard storage with support for microSD card.

Apart from the bumped-up memory, the A52 has exactly the same specifications as the one launched earlier. It has a Full-HD+ display with a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5 per cent and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which seems a little dated considering some latest smartphones, such as Realme 6 Pro and Poco M2 Pro come with the Snapdragon 720G processor inside them. But there are priorities for every smartphone company and Oppo is prioritising battery over anything else.

The Oppo A52 has a 5000mAh battery that is a little hard to find in the mid-range segment. It also comes with support for 18W fast charging technology, meaning you can charge the smartphone in about an hour to save yourself much time. Oppo A52 also has four cameras at the back - a 12-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, you got an 8-megapixel camera on the front. You also have a fingerprint sensor mounted on the power button on the right side.
