- Amazon has announced the Prime Day global sale.
- The Aamzon sale will be held on October13-14.
- This Amazon sale will be available only on the global website and not on the Indian site.
Amazon is holding a Prime Day sale in the US and several other countries on October 13-14. The sale is going to take place on the global website and will benefit shoppers in the US. It will have almost no benefits for Indian shoppers, who, however, will have access to their own local Amazon sale.
Some other countries that will also see the Prime Day sale are: UK, UAE, Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia and Turkey and Brazil.
Prime Day Sale, as the name suggests, give Amazon Prime members access to deals that are otherwise may not be available. These sales were started a few years ago and have proven extremely popular. For now it is not clear what sort of deals will be available in this sale.
Usually the Prime Day Sale is held in summer season but this time due to coronavirus it has been delayed.
For Indian shoppers, it will be better if they focus on the local Amazon sale instead of the global Prime Day. Though they may get some good deals, bringing those products to India will be extremely expensive due to duties.
"In the midst of an unprecedented year, we're committed to making this the most successful Prime Day ever for our small businesses and excited for Prime members worldwide to discover new ways to support local entrepreneurs and save big on everything they need and love," said Jeff Wilke, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer, in a statement. "This year's Prime Day is the perfect opportunity for Prime members to get their holiday shopping done early from the comfort of their homes.
