- Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy S21 series phones.
- The Galaxy S21 series could bring three new devices.
- Galaxy S21 Ultra could get a 6.8-inch display.
Over the last few weeks, we've heard a lot of rumours about Samsung deciding against shipping the upcoming Galaxy S21 series phones with chargers. The phone maker has seen itself increasingly tipped to not launch the new S21 phones with the accessory in the retail box. And now a new leak has all but confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 series will not come with a charger in the box.
A new leak by WinFuture.de has revealed the retail packaging of the device Galaxy S21+ 5G, and S21 Ultra 5G. Both the boxes are Black in color and the leaked images show off the in-box contents which appear to include a Quick Start Guide, USB-C cable, and a SIM-ejector -- but no charger in the box. There also appear to be no earphones in the box. This is interestingly also in line with previous reports which have hinted that Samsung will exclude chargers and earphones in the box of the Galaxy S21 series phones.
It is also interesting to note that Samsung has till now remained mum on the issue, and the only hint we've had from it on this matter is the company's social media handles taking swipes at Apple for not including a charging adapter in the retail box of its iPhones. These posts for the longest time were taken as a clear indication that the rumours about the company not shipping its next flagships with chargers are false. But now, there appears to be a twist in the tale as Samsung has not only started deleting Facebook posts in which it took shots at Apple for removing the charger from its iPhone 12 retail package but is now increasingly tipped to leave the accessory out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series: What we can expect
Of what we know so far about the phones, the Galaxy S21 is tipped to be the smallest of the three and is tipped to get a 6.2-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O Display with a pixel density of 421ppi. The Galaxy S21+ is expected to be bigger and is tipped to come with a 6.7-inch size display with a pixel density of 394ppi. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is tipped to bring with itself a 6.8-inch Infinity-O display with a 515ppi pixel density. Reports suggest the S21 Ultra could be a bulky phone, one that may be heavier than not only the S20 Ultra but also a lot of other competing phones.
Under the hood, the three phones are tipped to get either the Exynos 2100 SoC chipset or the Snapdragon 888. For cameras, the Galaxy S21 and S21+ are tipped to share the hardware, with the two devices rumoured to house a triple rear camera setup with a primary 64-megapixel sensor sat next to a secondary 12-megapixel lens and a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens.
