Garmin has introduced two new smartwatches under its Venu 2 series. These smartwatches are called Garmin Venu 2 and Venu 2S, both of which are GPS enabled. The lineup has a major focus on fitness and sports featuring all-day health featuring sensors with more than 25 built-in sports apps.

The Garmin Venu 2 and Venu 2S come with a stainless-steel frame that houses a touch-screen AMOLED panel which is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. Further, the Venu 2 series is available in two sizes - While the Venu 2 gets a 45mm watch case with a 22mm band, the Venu 2S gets a smaller 40mm watch case with an 18mm band.

Garmin claims 24/7 health monitoring on both the Venu 2 series smartwatches that includes heart rate, fitness age, respiration, Pulse Ox2, menstrual tracking and pregnancy tracking. A New Health Snapshot feature lets users log a 2-minute session to record key health stats and generate a report they can share with a healthcare provider.

The Venu 2 series of watches are also capable of advanced sleep tracking. Advanced sleep monitoring tracks light, deep and REM sleep stages as well as movement, pulse ox and respiration. Also, the users get a sleep score based on the quality of their previous sleep. All the accumulated data can be viewed on the watch itself or the Garmin Connect app.

The 25 plus sports apps include walking, running, cycling, pool swimming, golf, Pilates, yoga and more.

The Venu 2 and Venu 2S has a built-in music player that allows up to 650 songs to be downloaded, including playlists from Amazon Music, Spotify and Deezer. You can view notifications, calendar reminders, incoming calls and more. Also, Garmin Pay allows for contactless payments.

While the Venu 2 can provide 11 hours of battery in smartwatch mode and 8 hrs in GPS+Music mode, the Venu 2S gets up to 10 days of juice in smartwatch mode and 7hrs in GPS+Music mode. With Rapid charging, these watches can provide one day of battery life in 10 mins of charging.

Both the Venu 2 and Venu 2S are priced at $399 that converts to roughly Rs 30,000.
