Gionee Max Pro is the latest smartphone aimed at entry-level customers in India. The smartphone goes big on the battery, which the company claims can offer 60 hours of calling, 115 hours of music, 12 hours of gaming, 13 hours of movies, and 34 days of standby. All of this is possible is because of the 6000mAh battery that provides juice to the phone and because of the same battery, the phone goes against the likes of Realme Narzo 30A, which also has a 6000mAh battery. The latest Gionee Max Pro joins the ranks of Micromax In Note 1 and Lava Z6 that have come to the spotlight again to entire Indian customers.
Gionee's operations in India are managed by The Jaina Group since 2018. The manufacturing and sales of Gionee products, including smartphones and accessories, by the same company. Pardeep Jain, managing director at JIPL that manages Gionee in India, said, "Under the company's new vision of championing honest price approach for all its products and segments, Gionee is set to make honest pricing the next norm for country's entry-level smartphone category. We are confident that our new Gionee MAX PRO will seamlessly cater to the ever-evolving digital needs of today's unstoppable generation."
Gionee Max Pro price in India
The Gionee Max Pro costs Rs 6,999 and comes in three colours, red, black, and blue. It will be available to buy from Flipkart only starting March 8. As for offers, customers of Gionee Max Pro will be eligible to get a new Google Nest Mini smart speaker for a discounted price of Rs 2,499 from Flipkart.

The Gionee Max Pro brings a 6.52-inch 720p LCD with a teardrop-shaped notch at the top. There is a 2.5D curved glass protection on the phone. Inside this notch is an 8MP selfie camera with features such as Portrait Mode and HDR. The smartphone runs Android 10 right now and the company has not said anything on when Android 11 software will be rolled out for the phone. The Gionee Max Pro is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, the model of which is not specified. There is 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage on the phone, along with 256GB microSD card support on a dedicated slot. The phone supports LTE networks.
At the back, you have two cameras, a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP bokeh sensor. Gionee claims the dual-camera setup on the back supports Auto HDR, Bokeh effect, Slow-motion mode, and Panorama mode. There is up to 30fps video recording supported by the rear cameras. The Gionee Max Pro is backed by a 6000mAh battery inside, however without support for fast charging. It makes sense because the phone costs just Rs 6,999. There is a Micro-USB port on the phone with OTG support. And there is a 3.5mm headphone jack along with the FM radio feature on the phone. The Gionee Max Pro is 10mm thick, which is a little on the bulkier side but considering the big battery, it is a necessary evil. Likewise, the phone weighs 212g.
