Google Pixel 4a is on sale in India. The phone is available on Flipkart and is going on sale in offline stores like Croma, at a special and limited-time price of Rs 29,999, which is Rs 200 less than its MRP. Now, this is a Google phone. And one that the company has launched in India after the considerable gap. The last phone that Google launched in India was Pixel 3a. The Pixel 4 never came here.

So how good is the Pixel 4a and is it worth Rs 29,999? We put the Pixel 4a earlier and you should totally read that. It has tons of details, just like the fine details the Pixel 4a camera can capture, and it is a review in which we discuss all the pros and cons of the phone.

Here is the full review

But if you are looking for key takeaways, here we have summarised the Pixel 4a review in 5 points.

1- The Pixel 4a is a phone with bland design. It's made of plastics. It is also a very compact phone with its 5.8-inch screen. It looks basic. But it is also fairly good in certain ways. It is light at 143 grams. Very light in fact. It is usable with one hand. It's screen shows great colours with its OLED panel, although we feel it could have been brighter. But all things considered, Pixel 4a has one of the best screens in its class. No, the Pixel 4a doesn't have water-proof design, though it comes with a headphone jack.

2- The 12-megapixel rear camera in the Pixel 4 a is fantastic. It clicks detailed photos, gets exposure right and captures brilliant colours. The Night Sight mode is one of the best you can get in any phone. The dynamic range could have been better. The front camera is something that is good but could have been better in terms of how it deals with details in the low light. There are no more cameras, so you may miss the flexibility of a wide-angle lens or the zoom camera. Having said this, if you want a phone with great camera performance, in this price range you cannot go wrong with the Pixel 4a.

3- The Pixel 4a has Snapdragon 730G processor. It has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The performance is surprisingly good. Fast and fluid all the time. Even games like the Call of Duty run well, and the best part is that the phone remains cool matches after matches in CoD. That is Call of Duty and not cash on delivery. The battery lasts one full day and takes a little over an hour to charge with its fast 18W charger.

4- If we were to summarise the Pixel 4a, we will say that it is a simple phone that gets key things right: Camera, screen, performance, battery, software, which is clean and fast Android 11. But it is a simple phone, and looks simple with its design and build material. If you want your phone to look sexy, you won't like the Pixel 4a.

5- We also feel that the Pixel 4a will appeal to users who want Pure Android experience, fast software updates and a non-nonsense phone for regular use. If you want a phone with speakers, there are other phones in the market. If you want high performance in gaming, there are other phones in the market. If you want 3 or 4 rear cameras, and you know why, there are other phones in the market. The Pixel 4a is mostly a jack of all and master of none (except camera and software). For Rs 29,999, it offers solid, if not remarkable, experience.
