- Huawei has announced the global launch of the MateBook D15

After launching a number of products earlier in the week, Chinese phone maker Huawei has now announced the launch of the new MateBook D15. The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch display and introduces a cross-platform experience that Huawei claims allows users to seamlessly work with multiple devices through a single pane of glass.
Among its key highlights are its lightweight chassis, FullView Display and powerful internals. The latest MateBook D comes with a range of new features including support for Huawei Share.

Much like the rest of the MateBook family, the MateBook D 15 comes with a Huawei FullView Display. The laptop is just 5.3mm thick and brings ultra-thin bezels to frame the display, which takes the screen to body ratio to 87 per cent.
The Huawei MateBook D15 is also one of the lightest, and compact laptops in the segment and measures at just 357.8×229.9×16.9mm. The display on the device is a 15.6-inch 16:9 IPS panel which supports a Full HD (1920×1080) resolution and a maximum opening angle of 178 degrees.
As for the internals, it comes running a 10th Generation Intel Core processor, with the latest MateBook D 15 Intel edition also equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics card that includes 2GB of high-speed GDDR5 VRAM. Compared to integrated graphics, the new NVIDIA GPU can handle image and video editing tasks at 3.5 times the speed.
The Huawei MateBook D 15 includes a new version of the company's Shark Fin Fan. With the new s-shaped fan blades, Huawei Shark Fin Fan 2.0 optimises air flow dynamically for improved cooling and laptop performance.
The laptop can be charged using a multi-purpose 65W USB-C charger and a USB-C to USB-C cable which is included with the Huawei MateBook D15. The charger supports all Huawei smartphones and tablets that are equipped with a USB-C port. It also features overheat protection, which automatically stops the charging process once the temperature crosses a threshold to ensure safety.
The laptop has been priced in a single variant and has been revealed to go on sale at Euro 949. The availability of the product in India hasn't been announced yet, however, it is expected to find its way to India soon.
