After a long wait, the Huawei Y9s smartphone, Mediapad T5 Tablet and Huawei Freebuds 3 wireless earbuds have all gone on sale in India. Of the three, the Huawei Y9s is a premium mid-range smartphone, while the Huawei Mediapad T5 Tablet is being pegged as a versatile all-in-one tablet for professional and entertainment requirements. The Freebuds 3 have been launched as open fit active noise cancellation earbuds at an aggressive price.
Huawei Y9s, Huawei Freebuds 3 and Mediapad T5: Price
All three devices have been made available for purchase in India and are up for sale exclusively via Amazon. For the Y9s smartphone, Huawei is offering its customers a 9-month no-cost EMI and Rs 1,000 cashback scheme on Amazon. On the Mediapad T5 Tablet, buyers can get 6 months no-cost EMI and Huawei AM61 Bluetooth earphones worth Rs 3,990 on purchase.
From the list, the Y9s smartphone is priced at Rs 19,990 and the Mediapad T5 Tablet is priced at Rs 12,999. The Freebuds 3 which are claimed to be the world's only open fit active noise cancellation Earbuds have been priced at Rs 12,990. Huawei has announced that customers can get the Huawei CP61 Wireless Charger with the earbuds and can avail no-cost EMI starting from Rs.18/day.
Huawei Y9s: Specifications and features
Huawei Y9s comes with a 6.59-inch Ultra FullView display, with support for 16.7 million colours. The device also features a high screen-to-body ratio of 91 per cent. The Y9s also comes with support for Eye Comfort mode which offers a blue light filtering function that is certified by TÜV Rheinland.
Under the hood, the phone comes with Kirin 710F SoC for improved performance even while playing graphics-intensive games or watching movies. This has been paired with 128GB large storage and 6GB of RAM for smooth operation even with multiple apps running.
In terms of cameras, the Y9s comes with an ultra-clear 48MP camera sat next to an 8MP Ultra Wide Angle camera and a 2MP depth camera. There's also a 16MP front camera in a pop-up module for taking selfies. In comparison to market competition, Huawei claims this camera captures finer and detailed images, but also offers an excellent Handheld Night Mode owing to Huawei's powerful AI capabilities. It also claims that the Huawei Y9s' front camera has passed 100,000 times a pop-up-and-retract test without damage to prove its high durability.
Huawei Freebuds 3: Specifications and features
The Freebuds 3 are powered by the Kirin A1 chipset and sport the Isochronous dual-channel Bluetooth connection technology which implements a combination of BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and Bluetooth 5.1 in a dual-mode connection for ensuring low latency and improved power consumption.
Huawei is claiming up to 20-hour battery life with 4.5-hour ANC usage in a single charge. It also boasts of having a powerful bass that provides a balanced listening experience. Huawei Freebuds 3 has the world's first dedicated wearable chipset with up to 150-meter connectivity. The Kirin A1 chip, which is housed inside the earbuds, is the first chip developed by Huawei for the hearable and wearable market.
