In September last year, Motorola launched the first-gen of its Moto 360 smartwatch in India.
The company has now announced the launch of its successor, the Moto 360 (2nd gen) in India. Priced at Rs 19,990, it will be available for purchase on Flipkart and Myntra starting 7:30 PM today.
Unveiled at IFA in Berlin in September this year, the Moto 360 (2nd gen) will be launched in five variants in India - including three metal and two leather.
Of the five variants, the three variants for men will be available in cognac, black leather and black metal. Motorola is also targeting women by launching two variants for women in blush leather and natural metal.
The new watches will come in two sizes - a 46mm design and a 42mm for a sleeker and more elegant look . The second generation models have improved design along with a standard lug design that facilitates changing bands.
The company has repositioned the crown to prevent accidental presses. There is a new high resolution display and a faster 1.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor along with a bigger battery. The displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Moto 360 also features accelerometer, ambient light sensor and gyroscope, a heart rate sensor, and IP67 certification that makes it resistant to dust and water.
The Moto 360 is based on Android Wear OS and works with Android smartphones and Apple iPhone but with compatibility. On the software front, it runs on Android Wear and is compatible with Android smartphones and iPhones.
