Nokia launches Lumia 510, expected to be priced under Rs 11,000

Pitched as a Diwali gift for India, Nokia is expected to be price the device below Rs 11,000 in India. The Lumia 510 has a 4-inch WVGA display and a 5MP auto focus camera.

Nokia India has announced the global launch of its new phone, the Nokia Lumia 510. Referring to it as a Diwali gift for India, the company said the device is expected to be priced below Rs 11,000.

The Lumia 510 has a 4-inch WVGA display and a 5MP auto focus camera. It will have a 800 MHz* Qualcomm processor paired with 256MB RAM.

Though it will come out of the package running on Windows Phone 7.5, the phone will be eligible for an upgrade to Windows Phone 7.8.

Along with 4GB of onboard storage, the new Nokia phone will also have 7GB storage reserved on the cloud on SkyDrive along with an additional 5GB on Box.com. It also comes with Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and a1300 mAh battery.

The Nokia Lumia 510 will be available for purchase in a fortnight's time.
