Announced earlier at IFA Berlin, Sony has launched its new flagship smartphone, Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium in India.
The Xperia Z5 features a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) Triluminos display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It has got 32GB of internal storage and support for expandable memory card slot.
It comes with 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion. For imaging, Xperia Z5 features Sony's brand new large 1/2.3 Exmor RS for mobile 23MP sensor and F2.0 G Lens. It also supports 4k video capture and there is a 5MP front facing camera.
It has got a frosted glass finish at the back and Sony has also added a fingerprint scanner to the power button, that sits on the right edge of the smartphone.
Other features onboard include, NFC, 4G LTE, Quick charge, Android Lollipop operating system and a 2930mAh non-removable battery. To be available starting October 23, it is priced at Rs 52,990 and will have app offers and cash back offers. It will also come with the Quick charger UCH10 and a smart cover.
Sony also plans to introduce its Z5 Premium on November 7 for Rs 62,990. Claimed to be the world's first 4k smartphone by Sony, it packs in a UHD display and 4k content upscaling feature.
