- LG Tone Free FN7 is available to buy in South Korea.
LG is upgrading its Tone Free wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation, but the new models retain the self-cleaning case that has germ-killing capabilities. Called the LG Tone Free FN7, the TWS earbuds are now available to purchase in South Korea while more markets will be added to the list later this year. The Tone Free FN7 is a significant upgrade over the FN6 because it brings noise cancellation capabilities only for a little more price.
The LG Tone Free FN7 costs KRW 21,900,000, which is roughly Rs 14,400. The earbuds come in black and white colours. As of now, it is not clear whether these earbuds will come to India, but we can expect it nonetheless at tomorrow's LG Wing event.
LG Tone Free FN7 comes with a charging case the uses the proprietary UVnano technology to cleanse it. It is said to get rid of germs from the earbuds and charging case. LG is touting that this technology can kill 99.9 per cent of germs (E. coli and S. aureus) that could be present on the silicone tips and inner mesh of the earbuds. The cleansing process begins when the charging case shows a blue light. The green light indicates charging. The FN6 earbuds were the first ones to come with this technology.
Sound-wise, the LG Tone Free FN7 use the Meridian Audio to enhance the sound quality on these earbuds. Of course, these earbuds come with active noise cancellation aided by three microphones. "With ANC activated, environmental noises are now almost completely neutralized, making every note and voice sound clearer, more natural, without losing the details from turning up the volume to maximum," said LG in a press statement.
LG says that the earbuds can last for about 5 hours with ANC turned on but otherwise you get a battery life of around seven hours. The charging case adds to the battery life and it extends to around 15 hours.
