- Mi 11X could be the rebranded Redmi K40 smartphone.
- Snapdragon 888 SoC will power the Mi 11X
- Mi 11 Ultra is also coming alongside the Mi 11X series.
Mi 11X has been announced to arrive on April 23 in India. Manu Kumar Jain, Global VP Xiaomi and MD Xiaomi India, tweeted that the upcoming series would feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 SoC. The Mi 11X series is expected to bring two devices under lineup, namely Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro.
As per a leaker, the Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro are rebranded Redmi K40, and Redmi K40 Pro+ launched back in February this year. To remind you, Xiaomi also sold the Redmi K40 as Poco F3 in global markets. Now the Chinese giant is all set to bring its devices to India.
Not just this, the Mi 11 Ultra has also been confirmed to launch on the April 23 event. The device made a lot of buzz with its secondary display and the 120X digital zoom triple camera setup. Now the smartphone has a dedicated listing page on Amazon India's website detailing all the top specs.
Now that Mi 11X series and the Mi 11 Ultra are on the cusp of launch, we decided to stack everything we know so far about these upcoming devices.
Mi 11X specs
--If the leaks are to be believed, the Mi 11X could be the rebranded Redmi K40 about which we know everything about as it has already launched in China. The Redmi K40 follows the same design language as the flagship Mi 11 by Xiaomi, hence, we can expect the Mi 11X series to come with the same. The Mi 11X series is likely to come in two variants - regular and a Pro version like the Redmi K40 lineup launched in China.
--We also expect the Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro to ship with the same hardware as seen on the K40 Pro and K40 Pro+. As far as the specs of these devices are concerned, the Mi 11X series should ship with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (1800x2400 pixels). Additionally, these devices will feature a 120Hz refresh rate, HRD10+, MEMC and DCI-P3 colour gamut support.
--Like the K40 series, we also expect the Mi 11X to bring Samsung's E4 luminous display tech, which first came with Xiaomi's Mi 11. This display saves a lot of battery, is brighter and has better contrast levels than other OLED displays.
--The Mi 11X series will ship with Snapdragon 800 series chipsets. While the Mi 11X will get a Snapdragon 870 chipset, the other device, i.e. the Mi 11X Pro, will feature Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC. This should be coupled with 6GB/8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
--In the camera department, the Mi 11X will get a 48-megapixel sensor, whereas the Mi 11X Pro+ a 108-megapixel sensor. The other two sensors include an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor which are supposed to be the same for both devices. On the front, both these smartphones will ship with a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies.
--Finally, we expect the Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro will be powered by a 4520mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
--Moving forward to more premium offering from Xiaomi, i.e. the Mi 11 Ultra, which was unveiled in China on March 29. The Mi 11 Ultra sports a huge rectangular module that houses the triple camera setup and a secondary display. Whereas the front of the smartphone gets an almost bezel-less display with a punch-hole camera on the top left corner of the display.
--The Mi 11 Ultra features a big 6.81-inch WQHD+ E4 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC. This is coupled with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of onboard storage.
--The cameras on the Mi 11 Ultra are a major highlight. It packs a trip rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel periscope lens with up to 120X digital zoom and 5X optical zoom and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. There's a 20-megapixel shooter for selfie shots.
--Finally, the Mi 11 Ultra will ship with a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
