Motorola has launched another smartphone to the Moto G8 line-up. Called the Moto G8 Power Lite, the smartphone comes as a watered-down version of the Moto G8 Power, and packs features such as a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and a triple camera setup. The Moto G8 Power Lite will sit next to the Moto G8 Play, Moto G8 Power, Moto G8, and Moto G8 Plus. The smartphone has been launched in Mexico and Germany for now but the company has said it will expand the availability to more Latin American and European markets, while it will also be available in Asia and Australia soon.

The Moto G8 Power Lite has been priced at EUR 169, roughly Rs 13,900. It will go on sale in Mexico and Germany first but more markets will get the smartphone soon. The Moto G8 Power Lite comes in Arctic Blue and Royal Blue colour options.

The Moto G8 Power Lite runs Android 9 Pie out of the box, and the company has not divulged if an Android 10 update will be released. It has a 6.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720X1600 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. For storage, there is 64GB memory on-board but can be expanded via microSD card of up to 256GB. The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor on the back. It is also water repellent up to some extent.
For photography, the Moto G8 Power Lite packs a 16-megapixel main sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing lens with an aperture of f/2.4. There is an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with f/2.0 aperture. The cameras come with features such as HDR mode, beauty mode, dual camera blur effect, and panorama. The cameras also come with Google Lens integration. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery that charges at 10W. It is rated to deliver 19 hours of video playback and 100 hours of audio playback.
