Motorola Moto G9 Plus appeared the first time on Eurasian EEC certification site along with some of its key specifications, such as 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone has now reached the TUV Rheinland certification wherein the battery capacity and the charging speed have been revealed. The Moto G9 Plus launch date is, however, something subject to either further leaks or an official announcement by the company.
According to the listing of Moto G9 Plus on the TUV Rheinland website, the smartphone will carry a 4700mAh battery under the hood. It is a significant upgrade over the Moto G8 Plus' 4000mAh battery, but still less capacious than the 5000mAh battery on the Motorola Moto G8 Power. The battery will support up to 30W fast charging, the listing has additionally suggested. We do not know if the bundled charger will provide 30W power output but the smartphone will definitely support it possibly via a USB-C port. The Moto G9 Plus model numbers listed on the website are Motorola XT2087-1, XT2087-2.
There is only so much the TUV Rheinland certification reveals about the Moto G9 Plus. However, we do have some information thanks to the previous leaks. The Motorola Moto G9 Plus is said to come in a 4GB/128GB memory configuration. But there could be more variants. The EEC listing also revealed the smartphone will come with Android 10 out of the box. And while the earlier listing does not shed the light on what processor Moto G9 Plus, what display it will have, and what it will look like, it does reveal what the said memory variant could cost in the European market.
According to EEC listing, the Motorola Moto G9 Plus 4GB/128GB variant could cost EUR 277.15, which translates to roughly Rs 24,000. The Moto G9 Plus is likely to hit the European markets first while its India availability is also expected.
Motorola's G-series is scattered across various price ranges and has typically more than four models under each new series. This should mean after the Moto G9 Plus, the company could also launch the Moto G9, Moto G9 Play, and Moto G9 Power. There could also be a Lite version for the Moto G9 Plus with heavily toned-down specifications.
