Motorola has been rumored to be working on its next flagship device for a long time now. The company is said to be developing something similar in line with the previously launched Edge+. However, the latest piece of information suggests that the upcoming phone could come with an unusual refresh rate of 105Hz. It is to be noted that the previous flagship devices by Motorola including the Edge, Edge+ come with displays with a 90Hz refresh rate.
As per Mishaal Rahman of XDA developers, the Lenovo-owned company is testing a default refresh rate of 105Hz. This is unusual because the smartphone market has either smartphone displays that come with 60, 90, 120Hz refresh rates or even 144Hz in some cases. However, Asus too tried out a rather unusual refresh rate of 160Hz for its gaming phone ROG 3.
However, another report by XDA suggests that Motorola is only testing the 105Hz refresh rate but at the time of launching, it would launch its phones with 90hz. Apart from an unusual refresh rate, Motorola s expected to arrive with a Snapdragon 865 SoC, triple camera setup, and 12GB of RAM.
While Motorola is yet to make an official announcement about its upcoming flagship device, the reports have suggested that the phone has been codenamed "Nio".

The flagship device by Motorola could feature a full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1,080x2,520 pixels with a high refresh rate of 90hz. In terms of the camera, the Motorola Nio could come with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the phone is expected to come with dual-camera sensors including a 16-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor from Samsung.
