MTNL Mumbai is bringing back some special tariff vouchers (STV)s for a promotional period. Some of these prepaid STVs offer voice, data and calling benefits while others offer only data benefits. The current promotional period for these STVs will be available from November 13 2020 till February 10, 2021. The development was first noted by Only Tech.
BSNL is also chalking out a plan to enter Delhi and Mumbai with 4G services starting January 1, 2021 as it plans to become a pan-India operator. BSNL is currently giving free SIM cards to new users for an initial first recharge of Rs 100 for a promotional period till November 28, 2020.

STV 196: MTNL Mumbai will offer 1.5GB high-speed data per day, unlimited free calling, 100 SMS per day with 28 days validity with STV 196.
STV 329: MTNL will offer 2GB high-speed data per day, unlimited free calling, 100 SMS per day with 45 days validity with STV 329.
STV 399: MTNL STV 399 will offer 500MB high-speed data per day, unlimited free calling, 100 SMS per day with 28 days validity.
PV 1499: MTNL PV 1499 will offer 2GB high-speed data per day, unlimited free calling, 100 SMS per day, with 365 days validity.
Data STV 1298: MTNL Data STV 1298 will offer 2GB of high-speed data per day with 270 days validity.
BSNL Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and broadband advance payment system revised
BSNL has also revised its advance payment scheme for FTTH and broadband users. The revised schemes will apply to BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH), DSL Broadband, BBoWiFi (Broadband over WiFi) and Bharat AirFiber customers with effect from November 11, 2020. The development was first noted by Kerala Telecom. The new advance payment system will not apply to the newly launched BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) plans - Fiber Basic 449, Fiber Basic Plus 599, Fiber Value 799, Fiber Premium 999 and Fiber Ultra 1499.
Customers currently enrolled in all other broadband plans can opt for the revised half-yearly, annual, two-year, three-year advance payment options.
For the revised annual payment scheme, customers will have to pay for 10.5 months for 12 months of service. For the revised two-year advance payment scheme, customers will have to pay 20.5 months to get 24 months of service. For the revised three-year advance payment scheme, customers will have to pay for 30.5 months to get 36 months of service.
Customers can change their BSNL FTTH or Broadband plan to advance payment scheme by applying to their nearest BSNL Customer Service Center. However, customers can change their existing Broadband or FTTH plan online via BSNL Selfcare Portal without visiting BSNL Customer Service Center.
