- A new Realme phone has been spotted on the US FCC website.
- The Realme phone is listed with a 5000mAh battery on the site.
- This could be an entry-level or budget segment Realme device.
Realme went abruptly silent a few days before Diwali in India, but this is the calm before the storm. This storm, which Realme can be easily associated with, refers to the back-to-back launch of smartphones. One of these smartphones has freshly emerged, indicating that it is meant for global markets of Realme. A new Realme phone has cropped up on the US FCC website, meaning it is almost ready for launch. Some of the key specifications of this device have also been revealed.
The Realme device bears a model number RMX3063, which seems like a new series in the company's portfolio. All of the previous phones that Realme has launched start with the digit 2 after RMX in the model number. The commercial name of this phone is not clear right now. It could either be the Realme C19, or even some new device that will form the base for successors to arrive in a new series, much like Narzo in India. For now, I am not sure what Realme has in store for us, but this device may be in line with most of its smartphones, at least going by the specifications.
The FCC listing has shown the Realme RMX3063 will come with a 5000mAh battery, however, with an actual capacity of 4880mAh. The charging speed for the battery is not known at this moment, but it can be safely assumed that there will be at least 18W fast charging on this device. Realme's recent phones in the budget segment have at least 18W charging, while those in the mid-range, such as the Narzo 20 Pro or Realme 7 Pro, come with the leading 65W fast charging solution.
Moreover, the US FCC listing, spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma, provides a sketch that reveals additional details about this mysterious Realme phone. According to what I can see, there will be a triple-camera setup on the back, stacked inside a rectangular island. This is similar to how cameras are given on the Realme 7, Narzo 20 Pro, and some other handsets. It is not surprising to know Realme is retaining the camera design, because it made the switch earlier this year. This means the new rectangular design is going to stay for at least one more year before there is a new trend for how cameras should sit on the phone's back.
Realme's phone will have the Realme UI version 1 for the software. This version is based on Android 10, which is strange because the company is already in the process of rolling out Android 11-based Realme UI 2. The new software comes with several new features and under the hood enhancements that make Android experience even better. Maybe Realme will roll out Android 11 to this device at a later date after the launch. This phone will also have the standard connectivity options, such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi among other things. However, there is one aspect that hints at this device being either an entry-level or a budget model.
The Wi-Fi connectivity on this phone is limited to 2.4GHz, which is the basic form of wireless connectivity ensuring wide coverage but comparatively high latency and low-speed reception. This is usually found on entry-level and budget devices, meaning the upcoming one from Realme could also be one.
For what it is worth, we are not sure what this device will be called or when it will launch. Realme will make announcements when it has decided these things. We might or might not see this device launching in India.
