Looking at what seems to be a trend, Toshiba has unveiled its new range of 4K TVs
, better known as Ultra HD TVs, at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2013
in Las Vegas.
The L9300 series of TVs, which mark Toshiba's entry into the US 4K TV market, will be available in 58-, 65- and 84-inch sizes from this summer.
For those who haven't heard of them yet, 4K TVs or Ultra HDs
have four times the resolution of the 1080p TVs in the market today. The higher resolution makes content look crisper and brighter than the display in the current generation of HDTVs.
All the models will have an "ultra-slim" bezel and gun metal trim and stand. The ultra-high resolution video is powered by Toshiba's CEVO 4K quad- and dual-core processor. They also have Toshiba's ClearScan 240Hz refresh rate for smoother, fast-motion
However, the company gave no indication of the pricing during the launch event.
