HTC has launched the Desire 826 in India for a price of Rs 25,990. The device was unveiled at the CES this year and has finally made it to the Indian market. The Desire line-up by HTC focuses on the mid-tier segment but this phone lies on the higher end of the mid-tier segment mainly because of the specs it offers.
Faisal Siddiqui, President, South Asia, HTC , said, "We at HTC understand our consumer and design products to sit their being." He added that, "The HTC desire 826 is yet another effort of ours to combine superior quality features in a stunning smartphone at a smart price."
The HTC Desire 826 sports a 5.5-inch Super LCD 3 display with a FullHD resolution (1920x1080) which yields a pixel density of 401ppi. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 which is paired with 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.
In terms of storage options, the device comes with 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded by help of a microSD card slot up to 128GB. The phone offers a 13 Megapixel primary camera and a 4 UltraPixel secondary camera that is similar to the one used in the HTC One M8.
The phone comes with Android Lollipop out of the box which is heavily customised with the HTC Sense UI. For connectivity the phone comes with dual-SIM slots and 4G compatibility. The front facing boom speakers feature the Dolby Audio technology that is also featured on the company's flagship One M9. The phone features a standard 2600mAH battery that should at least last a day.
