Handset maker HTC launched two new smartphones, the One (E8) and Desire 616, at a press conference in New Delhi on Friday.
The HTC One (E8) is an affordable variant of the recently launched flagship smartphone, the M8, with a few changes.
This is a dual-SIM phone with a single 13MP camera and a plastic unibody at the back. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz processor. It has Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It boasts a five-inch 1080p display and comes with 16GB of onboard storage with support for up to 128GB of expandable storage.
While the HTC (M8) continues to retail for around Rs 47,000, the One (E8) has been priced at Rs 34,900.
The Desire 616 is a mid-range smartphone, priced at Rs 16,900. This features a five-inch display with 720p resolution. This handset is powered by 1.7GHz MediaTek Octa-core chipset and is paired with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 4G of internal storage and supports expandable memory of up to 32GB. It packs in an 8MP camera, 2000mAh battery and support for a regular SIM along with a micro SIM.
