Olive Telecom in association with Aircel and Qualcomm on Wednesday announced the launch of its first Android offering in India. Operating on the latest version of the OS, the Gingerbread, the company claims it to be the fastest Android phone in the world. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon MSM8522 1GHz processor, it is HSPA+ enabled. As per Qualcomm, the second generation Snapdragon mobile processor will offer 1GHz processing power with high performance engine and crystal clear HD voice; and will offer blazing fast HSPA+ wireless speed.

With 4.1 inch capacitive touch display, a 5 MP camera with auto focus, 720p video recording and 1400 mAh battery, this Android offering will compete against the best - HTC Desire, Motorola XT720, etc. Priced below Rs 20,000, the phone will hit the market after a month.
