Reliance Jio: SIM card, 4G plans, apps and more

The digital revolution in the country it seems has taken a new turn with Reliance Jio 's offer of free services for the next three months. The free services offer started on September 5 and will end on December 31. This, however,  is bad news for Jio's competitors. Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular and Aircel have been forced to promise a tariff cut to their customers to match Jio's discounted prices.

Reliance Jio Sim
The Jio SIM-which so far was available only at Reliance Digital stores-is now being offered through multi-brand outlets and mobile phone shops. A major beneficiary of the offer would be users of devices such as iPhone, Xiaomi, Motorola and Lenovo who were not a part of the preview offer.

Reliance Jio , which had already roped in 1.5 million users in the test phase, is targeting 100 million users at the shortest possible time.

Jio sim cards will be available at any telecom store that sells sim cards. To speed up the process, customers can make use of Aadhaar card for the eKYC process. Applicants must fill the Customer Application Form (CAF) and produce a couple of passport-size photographs to complete the process. Customers will receive their receipts on their email IDs and through SMS.

The company will then verify the applicant's details via a phone call. The partner offer is the easiest way of getting a Reliance Jio SIM if you have any of the eligible phones. The Jio Preview offer has been extended to smartphones by Samsung, HTC, Micromax, Sony, Vivo, Intex, Lava, Gionee, Panasonic, Asus, Xolo, LG, Karbonn, Videocon, YU, Sansui, Alcatel, and TCL.
