Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 are now seeing a massive price drop in India, just in time before HMD Global prepares for the launch of new devices at the upcoming MWC Barcelona. The price cut on both smartphones goes as high as Rs 3,800, which could make the Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 stout contenders in the mid-range smartphone market. Nokia 7.2 was launched last year in September while the Nokia 6.2 was released in October in India.

Nokia 7.2, Nokia 6.2 price in India dropped, here is the new pricing:

As listed on the Nokia online store, the Nokia 7.2 is now priced at Rs 15,499 and Rs 17,099 for the 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB variants, respectively. However, Amazon India lists Rs 14,873 as the current online price of the Nokia 7.2 4GB/64GB variant while the 6GB/64GB variant is listed at Rs 16,500. The launch price of the Nokia 7.2 started at Rs 18,599.

The Nokia 6.2, on the other hand, will cost Rs 12,499 if the purchase is from the Nokia online store for the lonesome 4GB/64GB model. Amazon India is selling the Nokia 6.2 at even a lower price of Rs 12,199. Nokia 6.2 was originally launched at Rs 15,999.

Ostensibly, the Amazon deal is better and comes with additional offers such as 5 per cent instant discount on HSBC Bank cards, no-cost EMI payment option, and other partner offers.

Do these offers on Nokia 7.2, Nokia 6.2 make sense for you?

HMD Global has secured a strong foothold in India's smartphone market ever since it entered. But the competition has been fierce, especially coming from the Chinese counterparts, such as Xiaomi that sits atop the pyramid. Nonetheless, the Finnish steward of the Nokia brand is relentless and wants to enter the list of India's top five smartphone brands. As a measure to ensure that expectation, HMD Global has to do more than just making gorgeous smartphones.

In our reviews of some recent Nokia smartphones, we have praised how beautifully Nokia phones are crafted. While the specifications on these smartphones are not quite the match to those of its competitors across price ranges, Nokia phones stand out because of their looks, and, of course, the brand equity.

Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 are undoubtedly good phones but the price cut is just the icing on the cake. At Rs 14,873 (considering the lowest available price), the Nokia 7.2 comes across as a steal deal, if you want a looker that is also loaded with reasonably good specifications. The Nokia 6.2 is another smartphone to go for, especially if your budget is a little tighter. At Rs 12,119, it is worth your money.
