  • Nothing India hires the former Senior Director at Samsung India as Vice President and General Manager.
  • Nothing will be launching its first product this summer.
  • Carl Pei's Nothing brand name was announced in January this year.

Nothing, Carl Pei's all-new venture, is making quick strides and preparing to enter new markets even before the company has announced its first product. Part of the strategy was appointing Manu Sharma as Vice President and General Manager, Nothing India.

The new hiring by Nothing confirms that the company will be launching the products in India. However, it will too early to say how sooner or later will Carl Pei bring these products to the Indian market. Nothing has already confirmed that it will launch its first wireless earbuds in the summer.

Nothing on Thursday announced that Sharma would be driving the growth, business development and operations for Nothing brand in India.

Announcing the news, Carl Pei, CEO and Co-Founder of Nothing, said, "I am thrilled to welcome Manu as part of the growing Nothing team. He is an experienced business leader with a deep knowledge and understanding of the consumer technology industry in India. With his proven track record and experience, he will play a pivotal role for our growth in India."

Sharma will also be overseeing the regional product strategy, marketing and sales operations for Nothing, as well as setting up the India office.

"I am very excited to be part of Nothing's journey. Carl's vision is inspiring, and I am confident that Nothing will have a meaningful impact on the consumer technology market in India and around the world," said Manu Sharma, Vice President and General Manager, Nothing India.

The company earlier this week announced teenage engineering as its founding partners. The announcement will mean that Nothing products will be designed by the brains behind teenage engineering. The Stockholm-based company, teenage engineering, has already made its name with its products globally. The company, earlier this month, opened up for the community to invest in and has already received an impressive response.
