OnePlus stops making previous model phones once the new one arrives but this does not mean that the company does not take care of its old handsets. The smartphones - OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T- which were launched in 2018 are set to receive new updates with the upcoming November security patch. This isn't the first time that the company has released any update for these phones. OnePlus in January rolled out OxygenOS 10.3.1 to the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T.
The OnePlus 6 had launched on Android Oreo while the 6T came with Android Pie. However, the company released the Android 9 Pie update for 6 soon after it was launched. The company may have been late one or two times but it has been consistent with updates for its previously launched phones too. In the recent development, the OnePlus 6 and 6T are soon expected to receive the November security patch which will include some major updates alongside the usual bug fixes and system stability.
With the new update, users will be able to weed out the less important notifications, quick reply feature and use the new gaming tools box. To explain it further, the system once updated will show a "Hide silent notifications in status bar" which will help you in easy management of app notifications. The Android security patch will be updated to 2020.11. The system will show more stability and general bug fixes will also be included. Both the OnePlus 6T was and One Plus 6 were last updated in August this year. It will be an OTA update and would gradually reach out to the users.
