The company will be holding the launch event on March 23ed where it's set to reveal the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and the first OnePlus Watch. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube.
The early leaks about the OnePlus 9 were CAD renders which gave us a fair idea about the expected design that the OnePlus 9 would look like. Since then we have learned from images that the design of the new flagships is not that different from the OnePlus 8T.
The biggest change in design is the all-new camera setup in the top right-hand corner. While the OnePlus 9 has a triple camera setup, the OnePlus 9 Pro has an additional camera sensor along with the new Hasselblad logo.
While from the images we can see that the OnePlus 9 will have a similar flat display screen as found on the OnePlus 8T, while the OnePlus 9 Pro could feature a slightly-less curved display, similar to that of the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The OnePlus 9 also has some key features that help to set it apart from the competition.
Perhaps the most anticipated feature of the OnePlus 9 lineup will be the cameras developed in partnership with Hasselblad. As most professional photographers know, Hasselblad is one of the most well-known and premium brands in the industry. The OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said that the addition of Hasselblad to the OnePlus team will create a new benchmark in mobile photography.
OnePlus' Xi Zeng, the firm's Product Creative Director, makes it clear that OnePlus' goal after partnering with Hasselblad is to put the professional photography experience in OnePlus users' pockets. To make this possible, OnePlus worked hard on the User Interface, User Experience, packaging, and even the shutter sound. As Zeng said, "As a tech company, we can help you tell a better story."
While the OnePlus 8 Pro was the first smartphone from the company to support wireless charging, the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro are rumored to come with wireless charging support for their 4500 mAh batteries.
Furthermore, the OnePlus 9 Pro is expected to have fast wireless charging support with speeds up to 50W. A new wireless charger is also likely to be introduced so the smartphone can take advantage of the new faster-charging speeds. Wired charging is likely to be just as fast with the company's Warp Charge 65 wired charging capabilities.
The OnePlus 9R is going to have a 6.5 inch AMOLED display and feature a Snapdragon 690 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The affordable smartphone is also expected to come with a 90Hz display and a 5000mAh battery. It will also support 65W warp charging. The OnePlus 9R will likely only be launched in India for the time being.
Along with the latest flagship smartphones, the OnePlus is also going to launch its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch. As for the specs and features of the smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch is expected to come with a 46mm dial size. It is likely to be launched with two colour options; black and silver. The smartwatch is expected to have heart rate and SpO2 sensors. The watch is going to be IP68 rated which means it can be worn while swimming too. The OnePlus could have internal storage of 4GB and a larger battery. It is likely to support warp charge technology.
