  • OnePlus' Gaming Triggers were revealed during the OnePlus 9 series launch last month.
  • It works with both Android and iPhone models.
  • It is a gaming-focused accessory and targeted towards gamers.

OnePlus has quietly made its Gaming Triggers available in India. The company showcased the Gaming Triggers during the unveiling of the OnePlus 9 series last month but didn't talk much about the specific device. The new Gaming Triggers are targeted at gaming-obsessed users, and the good thing about this accessory is it is compatible with Android devices as well as iPhones.

The OnePlus India website lists the new OnePlus Gaming Triggers at Rs 1,099, with the MRP listed as Rs 1,599. However, considering the Covid-related restrictions, it is likely that the Gaming Triggers may not be available for delivery for some time in select regions. Interested users can check out the company's official website for more details.

OnePlus Founder and CEO late on Wednesday teased the Gaming Triggers on Twitter. He tweeted, "We designed the OnePlus gaming triggers to be solid, responsive, pleasingly "clicky," and, yes, beautiful. We also made sure they work with many other phonesóbecause the best product design is one that leaves you free to make your own choices." Interestingly, the OnePlus Gaming Triggers will also work with devices that have screen protectors, and cases applied.

OnePlus listing of the Gaming Triggers confirms that the gaming-focused accessory interacts with the smartphone via screen response conduction. The tactile buttons interact with the device display through capacitive conduction, and users gain the ability to respond to any action in the game. The company stresses that the OnePlus Gaming Triggers have been designed keeping in mind battle-royale games as well as multiplayer games, including PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty, and Free Fire, among others. However, the irony is that PUBG Mobile is banned in India, and there are not very likely chances that it may return very soon to India.

The OnePlus Gaming Trigger uses Omron switches to provide users with better tactile feedback based on what happens in-game.

The Gaming Triggers have been designed like a clip which makes the usage of each of the triggers independent to the side of the device they are placed on. This enables gamers to use either of them on both the left and right-hand side of the device. The Gaming Triggers have been built with Zinc alloy material that should make it sturdy and weighs just 22 grams.

The OnePlus website teases the Gaming Triggers attached to the OnePlus 9R that is a clear enough sign that the company is pushing the phone and the accessory as a great combo for anyone looking for a gaming experience.
