- OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord N10 5G as its budget offering in October last year.
- It was earlier speculated that OnePlus Nord N1 5G would be the successor to the Nord N10 5G.
- New leaks suggest an entirely different name for the device.
The next OnePlus budget smartphone might be called OnePlus Nord CE 5G, as per a noted tipster's latest hint. The moniker marks a difference from the earlier speculations of the name of the smartphone - OnePlus Nord N1 5G.
The said OnePlus device is supposed to be the OnePlus Nord N10 5G successor, launched in October last year. Back in February, it was tipped that the smartphone will be named OnePlus Nord N1 5G.
A recent leak by Max Jambor states otherwise, mentioning the name OnePlus Nord CE 5G for the first time ever. As for what the CE stands for is yet unknown, and so are any specifications about the budget smartphone.
The leak was shared by Jambor in a tweet in response to an earlier tweet by him naming the OnePlus Nord N1 5G as the device in development by OnePlus other than the OnePlus 9 Series (at the time).
No other information about the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is out yet. Though it can be speculated that the smartphone might never be launched in India, as was the case with its predecessor. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G was released only in Europe and North America.
As for what the OnePlus Nord N10 5G offers - it comes with a 6.49-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chipset. Memory on the device includes 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB using an external microSD.
The device sports a fingerprint sensor and quad-camera setup at the back. This setup includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth lens. At the front is a 16-megapixel camera.
The Nord N10 5G runs Android 10 based OxygenOS 10.5 out of the box and is backed by a 4,300 mAh battery that supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G retails at $299.99 (roughly Rs 21,900), and its successor is likely to be priced around the same budget.
