- OnePlus has launched new smartphones and accessories to go with them
- The accessories include the Warp Charge 30 Wireless and Bullets Wireless Z earphones
- The two will be available for purchase in India in the coming weeks
It's that time of the year when OnePlus takes to the market like a storm and attempts to blow the competition away with its bi-annual flagship releases. For now, it's the OnePlus 8 series of phones that have donned the mantle, and come with the responsibility to further the company's name in the already crowded premium segment of the market.
However, along with the two smartphones -- the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro -- the company has also added two new accessories to its list of products. Of the two, the first is a new pair of wireless earphones from the company while the other is its very first wireless charging dock that can juice up the OnePlus 8 Pro's beefy battery by 50 per cent in just 30 minutes.
Both the Bullet Wireless Z earphones and the Warp Charge 30 Wireless dock have been announced to go on sale in India later this summer. The company has not revealed an exact date of availability, which we suspect would be announced in the weeks to come once the country is finally out of the Covid 19 induced lockdown. But for what it's worth, once the accessories are available for purchase in India, the two will be available via Amazon.in and the company's website -- OnePlus.in. The company has also announced the price of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z -- $49.99.
Bullets Wireless Z
Bullets Wireless Z are OnePlus' latest wireless earphones which come with some visual improvements over their predecessor. The design appears almost identical but OnePlus' new Bullets are available in four colours this time. They come in multiple colors options: black, blue, mint and oat. The earphones also have a neckband design.
Apart from this the Bullets Wireless Z comes with the promise of a quick 10-minute charge and are also quite lightweight and compact. They promise music playback for up to 10 hours with a 10-minute charge, while a full charge is claimed to provide up to 20 hours of battery life.
Warp Charge 30 Wireless
The othe big announcement from the night -- in terms of accessories -- was the Warp Charge 30 Wireless dock. With the accessory, the OnePlus 8 Pro becomes the first smartphone to get a wireless charging solution.
The chargng dock is rated to provide 30W of peak power wirelessly to supported phones such as the OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus says at this peak output, the charging dock can fill up the 4510mAh battery of the phone by 50 per cent in just half an hour.
Unsurprisingly, however, much like its wired charging tech, the wireless version of the technology included with the OnePlus 8 Pro will come with some bottlenecks. For example, while both the phone and charging dock come with support for transfer of 30W wireless power delivery, the phone will not allow the transfer of anything over 5W over the Qi wireless standard and 10W over the faster EPP standard.
