  • The price cut makes the base variant of Oppo A12 Rs 1,500 cheaper.
  • Oppo A12 uses a MediaTek Helio P35 processor inside.

Oppo has apparently slashed the price of the A12 smartphone in India. The budget-range A-series smartphone from Oppo is now selling for Rs 500 less in the offline market. The Oppo A12 was launched in India back in June last year for a starting price of Rs 9,990. With the latest price cut, the base variant of Oppo A12 is now Rs 1,500 cheaper while the top memory variant is down by Rs 1,000.

Previously, the A12 saw a price cut of Rs 1,000. The recent price cut makes the Oppo A12 more appealing to customers but it is still going to be difficult for the smartphone to make a name in the sea of quad-camera devices in this range.

The Oppo A12 price cut is now effective in the offline market, according to a 91Mobiles report citing industry sources. This means that the Oppo A12 is still selling at the old price on online platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, and Oppo's own online store. Oppo has not said anything official on this but such price cuts on the price of smartphones in the offline segment are quite common. Maybe, the new price becomes effective on online platforms, as well, in a few days.
