- Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro had discrepancies in their weight.
- Several buyers have pointed them out and called out Oppo.
- Oppo has said it will issue refunds to unhappy buyers.
While the Find X2 series is getting Oppo rave reviews and several accolades across the industry, it has also contributed to a little embarrassment. Some users have pointed out that the weight of the glass and ceramic models of the Find X2, and the ceramic model of the Find X2 Pro has been wrongly listed on the website. Oppo vice president Shen Yiren, immediately, responded to fans and apologised for the discrepancy. Trying its chance at redemption, Oppo has announced that it will refund the full money of the Find X2 series buyers who think the phones are heavier than what was advertised.
The Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro were launched earlier this month in China as the new flagships. Both smartphones have ceramic and glass models available in China. The ceramic model of Find X2 was listed with a weight of 196g but it was later found to be 209g. Similarly, the weight of the glass model of the Find X2 was wrongly quoted at 187g but it is actually 192g. The discrepancy in the weight of the Find X2 Pro is even higher. It was earlier listed with a weight of 207g but was changed later to 217g.
Buyers in China began noticing the changes made to the specifications list of the two Find X2 phones and took it to Weibo, mentioning Oppo and its officials, to report the fib. Yiren took cognisance of the situation and issued an apology in a Weibo post. The post also assures that people who have concerns regarding the weight of the Find X2 unit they bought before March 17, will be eligible for a full refund. The unit they bought will have to be returned by March 24 and the refund will be issued thereafter. The Oppo Find X2 starts at CNY 5,499 while the Find X2 Pro costs CNY 6,999 in China.

This is the first smartphone from Oppo to have made an achievement with its new display technology.
