Highlights

  • Oppo might be readying the launch of the Reno 4 Lite for select markets.
  • A leaked image has shown the Reno 4 Lite will look like the F17 Pro.
  • It has also been listed on the US FCC website with its specifications.

Oppo may not be done with the Reno 4 series yet. Rumours were rife there is going to be another device in the series, and it will be called Reno 4 Lite. The smartphone was spotted on the US FCC website recently where I got a peek at the tentative specifications. The Oppo Reno 4 Lite has now leaked in images wherein it looks exactly like the F17 Pro. To add some gravitas to this speculation, the specifications obtained from the FCC listing also look like those of the F17 Pro.

Not just the certification, the Reno 4 Lite has appeared on a retailer website in Ukraine and it indeed is a replica of the F17 Pro. Its price is UAH 11,999 (31,200/$425/365) for Blue and Black colourways but the Black model currently has a discount of UAH 2,000 ( 5,200/$70/60).

There is a punch-hole on the Reno 4 Lite display that houses two front cameras. On the back, there are four cameras in the same design the F17 Pro has. An LED flash is also there to accompany the rear module on the Reno 4 Lite. The specifications include a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. On the back, there will be a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide, and two 2-megapixel cameras.

The Oppo Reno 4 Lite is powered by the MediaTek Helio P95 processor that also gives power to the F17 Pro. The rest of the specifications, such as the 6.43-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, are also the same. You get a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage on the Reno 4 Lite, along with support for a microSD card of 256GB. The Reno 4 Lite is backed by a 4015mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

For now, it is not confirmed what markets will see the Reno 4 Lite debuting. Oppo has not gone official with the announcement yet but the Reno 4 Lite is likely targetted at European markets. Since the specifications of the Reno 4 Lite are identical to the F17 Pro, the former is unlikely to debut in India, at least with the same set of hardware.
