- Poco F1 is now receiving Android 10 for some users.
- The Poco F1 was launched in India in 2018.

After it was spun off as an independent brand from Xiaomi, Poco has emerged as more aggressive in India's smartphone market. The Chinese brand launched its second phone Poco X2 recently while the Poco F2 is confirmed to arrive in India later this year. Its predecessor, the Poco F1 is not forgotten as well. The Poco F1 is seemingly receiving the MIUI 11 update in India that brings Android 10 to the system. While Poco has not confirmed a stable channel release for the Poco F1, several users have reported on Twitter that their units are showing MIUI 11 update.
Apart from the users on Twitter, who shared screenshots of the software update screen showing MIUI 11 version 18.104.22.168.QEJMIXM, some Poco F1 users also took to the MIUI forum to share the latest development. These users participated in the beta testing programme for the Android 10-based MIUI 11. But the update is also reaching users who claim they did not take part in the programme. That said, only a few users have received the update so far, which alludes to an incremental rollout in India.
The screenshots posted on Twitter by Poco F1 users show that their units have received the MIUI 11 update, which is 1.9GB in size, along with the February 2020 Android Security patch. But the changelog does not mention the Android 10 update. However, the About Phone' screen after updating the Poco F1 shows Android 10 as the Android version'. Maybe, Poco is initially rolling out the Android 10 update to a handful of users as it is readying the wider rollout in the coming days.
The Poco F1 was launched in India back in August 2018 with some top-of-the-line specifications, including the Snapdragon 845 processor, a 20-megapixel front camera, and a dual-camera setup on the rear. It was one of the best smartphones of 2018 and managed to impress us with its design and top-notch internals. It was launched with MIUI 9.6 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The Poco F1 is likely to get its successor later this year.
