Poco has been in the news lately because of the launch of its most affordable smartphone in India to date, the Poco M2. Launched earlier in the month, the phone had gone on its first sale at 12pm on July 14. And now, Poco's latest phone will be up for grabs in three RAM and storage variants again at the same time later today.
This highly anticipated phone, the Poco M2 Pro, will start retail at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant. The 6GB/64GB one will retail for Rs 14,999 while the top-of-the-line 6GB/128GB variant will be sold for Rs 16,999. All three variants will be made available in three different colours -- Two Shades of Black, Out of the Blue and Green and Greener.
As opposed to the first sale of the phone, the second round of sale on Flipkart will see a limited number of offers. However, the company will be extending a five percent instant discount on SBI credit card and no-cost EMI options starting at Rs. 1,556 per month to make the purchase of the phone easier for buyers.
For the price, the Poco M2 Pro brings some solid specs to the table. The Poco M2 Pro has been announced to bring a 6.67-inch 20:9 FHD+ punch-hole display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone's body also comes with P2i Nano-coating, splash and dust resistant. Under the hood, there's a Snapdragon 720G Octa-core processor paired to up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The cameras on-board look very much like the ones we've already seen on the Redmi Note 9 Pro. This is because the device gets a quad-camera set-up that not only looks like the Redmi Note 9 Pro's from the outside but is also the same when it comes to the hardware.
As such, the phone gets a 48-megapixel main camera on the back -- the same Samsung ISOCELL GM2 seen on the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Complementing this primary lens is an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, 5-megapixel macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The cameras come with Pro Colour Mode, Pro Video Mode, RAW Mode, LOG Mode. The front camera of the phone is a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.
Keeping the lights on the device is a 5,000mAh battery pack, which can be topped up real fast using the phone's 33W fast charging. Connectivity options on the phone could include 4G LTE, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS.
