Highlights

  • Realme 7 5G is launching in the UK on November 19.
  • The smartphone is a rebranded Realme V5 5G that was launched in China.
  • The Realme 7 5G is going to be powered by Dimensity 720 SoC.

Realme 7 5G is launching on November 19 as the global variant of the Realme V5 5G. The latest 5G smartphone from Realme has been teased to come with a punch-hole display and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which also means no OLED display. The Realme 7 5G was spotted on Thailand's certification website, which is also the source of every information that Realme has not provided with the official teaser.

Thailand's NBTC had the Realme 7 5G listed under the RMX2111 model number that was associated with the Realme V5 5G that was launched in China. This straight-up clears that the Realme 7 5G is a rebranded version of Realme V5 5G meant for global markets. The latest teaser for Realme 7 5G is coming from Realme UK, which means the upcoming device is headed to the UK first.

Now that we know the Realme 7 5G and Realme V5 5G are going to be the same devices, the specifications should be common. Over and above what Realme shared in the teaser, the 7 5G is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor under the hood. This processor will be responsible for 5G connectivity on the device as it comes with an integrated 5G modem.

The Realme 7 5G should also have a 6.5-inch 1080p LCD with 90Hz refresh rate. This is going to be true because the fingerprint sensor is not under the display, which is otherwise there in case of an OLED panel. The smartphone could come with a 48MP main camera on the back along with three more. The selfie snapper on the device should have a 16MP sensor inside the punch-hole. Backing the device will be a 5000mAh battery with up to 30W fast charging.

Design-wise, the Realme 7 5G is going to be identical to both Realme 7 and V5 5G. There are two rectangular blocks with different gradient design demarcated by a line that runs through the camera module. The camera island is also rectangular with rounded edges, which has lately become a signature for Realme's mid-range phones. The colour variants are not known but they should be the same as the ones that the Realme V5 5G has in China.

Realme is launching the 7 5G in the UK but it might bring the device to more markets, including India. But that might not happen anytime soon because Realme is launching the X7 and X7 Pro in India as their next 5G devices soon. The company is yet to provide a launch date for the X7 series.
