- Realme is working on a wireless charger for its device.
- A WPC listing has revealed the charger is circular in shape.
- The launch details for the charger are not known as of now.
Realme is gradually expanding the family of its devices and a fresh listing suggests there could be a wireless charger around the corner. A new listing on the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) confirms a new wireless charger from Realme that could launch in the coming weeks. Although none of the current lineups of Realme smartphones supports wireless charging, the company's recently launched Realme Buds Air comes with the technology. The power output of the wireless charger is 5W, which could be well suited for the Realme Buds Air but not any upcoming smartphone if we are to take a wild guess.
The wireless charger bears a model name RMA203 and was registered on December 30 last year. It has a circular design with the company logo is imprinted at the centre. Apart from other unimportant details, there is not much to talk about the specifics of the Realme wireless charger. The launch timeline is also not known. But the WPC listing asserts an imminent launch of the device. If the charger is for Realme Buds Air, then it is also safe to assume that it will be headed to India as and when it launches.
Realme Buds Air is the company's first and only wireless device that takes a cue from Apple AirPods. It connects with the phone over Bluetooth without any wires. It was launched in India last year for a price of Rs 3,999. It can be charged using a USB-C cable that Realme has provided in the box or some other wireless charger from a different brand. But, Realme wants to offer an official accessory to replace the latter and grow its device family.
Separately, Realme is gearing up to launch the Realme C3 in India. The Realme C3 is the successor to the Realme C2 and will launch on February 6. Its specifications, revealed via the official microsite on Flipkart, include a 6.5-inch display with a water drop notch, a MediaTek G70 processor, dual rear cameras, and a 5000mAh battery under the hood. The smartphone will be exclusively available to buy on Flipkart.
