  • Realme Watch 2 specifications have been tipped by FCC listing.
  • Realme Watch 2 may have a 1.4-inch display and a heart rate sensor.
  • According to a tipster, the Watch 2 may cost around Rs 12,000.

Realme launched three smartwatches last year and all of them managed to impress me. This year, the company is taking things to the next level and it already is working on at least two models. Following the previous report that Realme Watch 2 and Watch 2 Pro are in the works, the former -- Watch 2 -- has been spotted on the US FCC certification website. The listing not only reveals the specifications but also shows what this new smartwatch may look like. Besides, the price of the Realme Watch 2 has also been tipped.

The US FCC listing of the Realme Watch 2 was spotted by the tipster Abhishek Yadav. Some documents procured from the listing confirm the Realme Watch 2 moniker for this model. The Realme Watch 2 will have a 1.4-inch TFT colour display in the same square-shaped dial that the original Realme Watch comes with. Maybe Realme is trying to create a pattern here wherein its Realme Watch series will follow the square- or rectangle-shaped designs while the Watch S series will go conventional and have circular dials. The Realme Watch 2 display will have 320x320 pixel resolution.

The Realme Watch 2 has the model number RMW2008 and will have the power button on the side. The watch will be 12.2mm thick, according to Yadav. It feels the successor of the Realme Watch is not going to stray too far. There will be silicone straps with the buckle on the Watch 2. The Realme Watch 2 will bear a 305mAh battery inside but I am not sure what the backup is going to be. The first-generation Realme Watch lasted for more than two days with just the 160mAh battery. There will be Bluetooth 5.0 and Bluetooth 5.0 LE on the smartwatch for pairing using the Realme Link app. And finally, there will be the IP68 certification for dust and water resistance on the Watch 2.

On the health part, there will be a real-time heart rate monitor and a blood oxygen level measurement sensor on the Realme Watch 2. The workout modes that has been constant across Realme's wearables are also going to be available on the Realmw Watch 2. Sleep tracking is also expected to be there on the Realme Watch 2. Plus, the nifty features such as music playback control and camera shutter control are also likely to be available on the Realme Watch 2. The smartwatch will also have a wired charging base. The Realme Watch 2 measures 257.6x35.7x12.2mm, according to FCC documents.

For now, I am not sure when the Realme Watch 2 will launch because the certification process still seems to be underway. However, Yadav says the Realme Watch 2 will cost around Rs 12,000 to Rs 13,000 while replying to one of the replies on his tweet. I am not too sure about this price because, from the specifications point of view, the Watch 2 does not come across as a major upgrade that would justify the gap of around Rs 10,000 from the original price of Realme Watch. The Realme Watch was launched for Rs 3,999 last year in India.
